The Grove employs over 15 care assistants, 2 members of kitchen staff, 4 cleaners
and various other maintenance and office support staff. Below is a diagram

To ensure the highest possible care for our residents, our staff are selected
carefully and demonstrate the key qualities of:

Potential applicants are screened and references and qualifications are always
checked thoroughly before any job offers are made.
Staff Induction
During staff induction all staff are trained in-house by an experienced
and qualified senior member of staff. The induction course covers the following
subjects:
Care Code of Conduct
Confidentiality
The Rights of Clients
Health and Safety
Food Hygiene and Safety
Personal Care Tasks
Care Assistants Responsibilities
Staff Training and Qualifications
All of our care team have been trained and are qualified to deliver
the highest standards of care. A continuous staff training programme
is in place to ensure that these standards are maintained in line with
the latest developments in Care Practices, as may be laid down by new
Legislation, Regulations and the National Care Standards Commission.
The Grove insists that all of its care assistants hold a minimum of NVQ Level 2
in Care. All new members of staff, if they do not already hold this qualification,
enroll on this course.
Throughout the year selected staff upgrade their key skills on various external
training courses, these include:

Care of the Elderly
First Aid
Drugs Practice
